Salmon River

From Pocatello, Drive to Boise on Interstate 84 then Interstate 86 then....

Once you are traveling on I-86 take the Fruitland Exit and follow Highway 95 north threw Payette, Weiser, Midvale, Cambridge, Alpine...

Follow Highway 95 past Council and to New Meadows.  In New Meadows I stop and buy GAS right at the intersection of Highway 95 and 55.  This is where you need to TURN LEFT or you won't make it to Riggins Idaho!  I buy ICE here too....

Keep driving towards Riggins and there is a REST AREA where you could stop and prepare yourselves for the GREAT OUTDOORS!!!!  Right before you get to the Center of the town you will turn RIGHT.  They just built a new bridge in 2010 that I have yet to go over.  This is the access to the area where we will be.

Take the New Bridge and then you will soon begin to travel along side the Salmon River.  You will cross over a bridge and then continue traveling to a campground called "Spring Bar."  That place has restrooms on the LEFT and a boat loading ramp on the RIGHT.

<It is where we sometimes will take out on some of our rafting experiences.  As you continue up the river watch the rapids because you will be traveling down some of these in the next few days.... >

Drive farther and you will se a BRIDGE to nowhere on your RIGHT.  Pass it by....

This is where the gravel road begins....  Unless they recently paved it....

In about a mile there will be another bridge that you will go across.  <This is the bridge that y 31'+ trailer will not go across.>

Drive past "Barn" on your LEFT and a nice house on your RIGHT (normally with sprinklers going).

Start watching for campsites along the beach on the sand on your LEFT.

We try to take the one just past the first BATHROOMS on the left (it is the second bathrooms, but it is hidden behind some trees.)
